Northwest Airlines (NWA) was a major United States airline founded in 1926 and merged with Delta Airlines in 2010.

The font used for the NWA logo is probably Frutiger UltraBlack designed by Adrian Frutiger in 1968, as a result of a commission by the Charles de Gaulle Airport to design a signage system. You can view more details about the font here.
