The Unreal Engine is a game engine developed by Epic Games, first showcased in the 1998 first-person shooter game Unreal.

The logotype of Unreal Engine is set in Eurostile Std Bold Extended #2 designed by Aldo Novarese. The initial “u” in the circle was probably custom drawn, but it resembles the title lettering of Unreal video games.
