Virginia is for Lovers is the tourism and travel slogan of the Virginia and it was introduced in 1969. It is named by Advertising Age as one of the most iconic ad campaigns in the past 50 years.

The font used for the slogan text is probably ITC New Baskerville, with “Virginia” set in Regular and “is for lovers” set in Italic. Baskerville is a transitional serif typeface originally drawn by John Baskerville in 1757. More details about the typeface can be found here.
