About Erdinger Logo Font

Erdinger Weißbräu is a brewery in Erding, Germany, founded in 1886 by Johann Kienle. Erdinger’s products, including Weißbier, Dunkel, Kristallklar, Pikantus, Leicht, Urweisse, Schneeweiße, Erdinger Champ, Alkoholfrei and Festbier, are widely available and popular across Germany and the European Union.

The font used for the logo of Erdinger Weißbräu is Friz Quadrata, with “Erdinger” set in Friz Quadrata Bold and “Weißbräu” set in Roman weight. Friz is a collaborative work of Ernst Friz, who designed the first Roman weight, Victor Caruso, who created a bold version, and Thierry Puyfoulhoux, who made italics for both Roman and Bold weights. Ideally for display work, Friz Quadrata is also appropriate for short texts, headlines, and industrial design projects.
