OfficeMax was an American office supplies retailer founded in 1988. It is now a subsidiary of Office Depot, Inc., which is headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida.

The font used for the OfficeMax logotype is probably ITC American Typewriter Bold. The rounded serif typeface was designed as a tribute to those early letter-writing typewriters. The typeface is a commercial one and you can view more details about it here.
