Moncler is an apparel manufacturer and lifestyle brand known for its down jackets and sportswear. The brand took its name from the abbreviation of Monestier-de-Clermont, an Alpine town near Grenoble, France.

The apparel brand uses Friz Quadrata for its logo. Friz Quadrata is a glyphic typeface first designed in 1965 by Ernst Friz, and expanded by Victor Caruso and Thierry Puyfoulhoux. The design features flared serifs and distinctive open bowls on the lowercase characters such as the “a”, “b”, “d”, “q”.
